Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 27 April 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website at https://www.nzian.xyz (the "Site"), the related blog at /blog, and any freelance software services provided by Ziauddin Robin (operating under the name NZIAN / DEVNZIAN, "I", "me" or "my"). By using the Site or engaging me for work, you ("you", "the client") agree to these Terms.
1. About this site
nzian.xyz is the personal portfolio, blog and contact channel of Ziauddin Robin, an independent software engineer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The Site showcases personal projects, open-source interests, written articles, and offers freelance development services (Laravel, Symfony, PHP, Vue/React, Tailwind, server setup, and related work).
2. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, databases, or any non-public area;
- Probe, scan, brute-force, or otherwise interfere with the Site's security, rate limits, or availability;
- Submit false, misleading, abusive, defamatory, hateful or unlawful content via the contact, hire, comment or subscription forms;
- Use automated means (scrapers, bots, headless browsers) to harvest content, email addresses, or generate fake submissions;
- Upload malware, scripts, or content that infringes any third-party right;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code beyond what is publicly published in my repositories under their own licences.
I may block, throttle or remove access without notice if I reasonably believe these Terms are being broken.
3. Intellectual property
3.1 Site content
All written articles, photography, project descriptions, illustrations, logos and design on this Site are © 2020–2026 Ziauddin Robin, unless explicitly attributed to another author. You may quote short excerpts (up to ~150 words) for non-commercial purposes with a clear, working link back to the original page. Republishing, translating, or training machine-learning models on full articles without prior written permission is not allowed.
3.2 Code samples
Code snippets shown inside blog posts are licensed under the MIT License unless a different licence is stated next to the snippet. Repositories on my GitHub are licensed individually — always check the repo's LICENSE file.
3.3 Third-party trademarks
Names such as Laravel, Symfony, Vue, React, Tailwind CSS, Caddy, GitHub, Hashnode, etc. are trademarks of their respective owners and are referenced for identification only. No endorsement is implied.
4. Forms & communications
The Site offers four user-submitted channels:
- Contact form (/contact-me) — sends a message to my email inbox.
- Hire form (/hire-me) — collects project enquiries.
- Blog newsletter (/blog) — opt-in email subscription for new posts.
- Blog comments — powered by Giscus on top of GitHub Discussions; signing in with GitHub is required.
By submitting, you confirm the information is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Unsolicited sales pitches, recruiter spam, link-building requests and AI-generated form-spam are not welcome and will be deleted without reply.
5. Freelance services
If we agree to a freelance engagement (web app, custom Laravel/Symfony build, ViserHotel/NexoPOS/Shofy customisation, server setup, or similar), the following baseline terms apply unless we sign a separate written agreement:
5.1 Scope & estimates
- Quotes are based on the scope you describe in writing. Any change to scope (new feature, re-design, extra integration) is a "change request" and may adjust price and timeline.
- Estimates are good-faith, not fixed deadlines, unless explicitly written as such.
5.2 Payment
- A non-refundable advance of typically 30–50% is required before work starts.
- Remaining payment is due before final delivery / production deployment.
- Accepted methods: bank transfer, Wise, Payoneer, or other channels agreed in writing. All bank fees are paid by the client.
- Late payments (over 14 days) may pause delivery and incur a 2% monthly late fee.
5.3 Ownership of deliverables
- Once final payment is received, you own the source code and assets I produced specifically for your project.
- I retain ownership of (and an unrestricted licence to reuse) any pre-existing tools, helpers, snippets and frameworks I bring into the project.
- Third-party licensed assets (paid scripts from CodeCanyon, fonts, plugins) remain bound by their original licences. I will not transfer those licences.
5.4 Revisions & support
- Quoted work includes up to two rounds of revision per milestone unless agreed otherwise.
- Free post-launch bug-fix support is offered for 14 days after delivery, limited to defects in the originally-scoped work. New features are billed separately.
5.5 Confidentiality
Project details, credentials, and your business data shared with me are kept confidential and are not used outside the project. I may, however, list the project name, technology stack, and a public summary in my portfolio unless you ask in writing for it to be kept private.
5.6 Termination
Either side may terminate an engagement in writing. You pay for work completed up to the termination date; advance payments are not refunded. I retain no liability for work you continue or modify on your own after termination.
6. Third-party links & embedded services
The Site links to and embeds third-party services including (but not limited to) Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Crisp Chat, Giscus, Hashnode, GitHub, YouTube, and CDN-hosted fonts. I do not control those services and am not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. See the Privacy Policy for what data they receive.
7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Site, blog content, code samples and tutorials are provided "as is" for informational purposes. While I work hard to keep them accurate, I make no warranty that they are error-free, complete, or current.
To the fullest extent allowed by law:
- I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of the Site or any code published on it.
- For paid freelance work, my total liability is capped at the fees you actually paid me for the specific deliverable that caused the loss.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be excluded by law.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold me harmless against any third-party claim arising from (a) your misuse of the Site, (b) content you submit through any form, or (c) your unlawful use of code or assets I delivered to you.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains what personal data is collected and how it is handled.
10. Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the page or via the blog newsletter. Continuing to use the Site after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Dhaka have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. International clients may, by mutual written agreement, choose neutral arbitration instead.
